In my desire to let the world understand what is sung in the Korean National Anthem, I took some time to translated the Korean lyrics into English and inserted it into one of the videos I found on YouTube.com. 작곡자: 정율성 (광주 출신, 중국 공산당 입당 중공을 빛낸 100인중 한명)
중국에서 '군가의 아버지', '중국 현대 음악의 3대 악성(樂聖)'으로 추앙받고 있는 한국 출신의 천재 작곡가 정율성(1914~1976)의 육성 음원이 공개됐다.
중국 신화통신은 정율성 본인이 부른 노래 '메기의 추억' 음원을 최근 연변(延邊)대학에서 찾아냈다. 그의 육성 성악이 언론을 통해 공개되기는 이번이 처음이다.
광주시 남구 양림동이 고향인 정율성은 19살이었던 1933년 항일투쟁을 위해 중국으로 건너갔고, 공산당 혁명 근거지였던 옌안(延安)으로 가면서 공산주의의 길을 걷게 된다. 그는 일반에 잘 알려진 '옌안송(延安頌)', '팔로군행진곡' 등을 비롯해 군가, 가곡, 오페라 등 모두 360여 곡을 작곡했다.
특히 '팔로군행진곡'은 중국인민해방군 군가로 채택되기도 했다.
